Old Silhillians and Saint Martin’s Old Girls Celebrate Festive Reunion at Malvern Hall

Over 50 Old Silhillians, Saint Martin’s Old Girls, Former Staff, Former Parents and Governors gathered for an evening of festive drinks and canapés, filling the historic Malvern Hall with Christmas spirit. The event was a wonderful opportunity for alumni to reconnect and celebrate the enduring heart of the Solihull community.

Guests were welcomed by Headmaster Charles Fillingham, who shared an inspiring update on the school’s recent achievements. He proudly announced that Solihull School has been recognised as one of the UK’s highest-achieving schools, earning the title of The Sunday Times Independent Secondary School of the Year in the West Midlands 2026. This accolade forms part of the prestigious Parent Power Guide, widely regarded as the most authoritative survey of the country’s top schools.

The evening was not only a celebration of festive cheer but also a moment to reflect on the school’s continued success and the strong bonds that unite its alumni. Malvern Hall provided a stunning backdrop, reminding everyone of the rich heritage and bright future of Solihull School.
