After leaving school I went to Oxford Polytechnic and did a BSC/Hons in Anthropology/Psychology before embarking on an adventure to Africa. This led to me meeting my husband Piers and spending fifteen years in the African bush running high end safari lodges and a hunting operation. We are now based in Harare where I run my company, Collaborative Craft Projects. It's a global export brand specialising in handmade woven crafts, product development and interior design and training. We have two children, Charlie 28, and Teddy 18. I still keep in regular contact with some of my old classmates, Ashley McCracken, James Humber, Laura MacDonald, Andy Smith, Lisa Murray, Andrea Fisher.

Zimbabwe 

My wife Anna, I and our two dogs, Rufus and Lotte, in Hornbaek, a small seaside town on Sjaelland, the main island in Denmark, around 45 minutes north of Copenhagen. We have been in Denmark for nearly five years, and it's a fantastic place to live with friendly, warm and fun people/vikings. I work in marketing for the GN Group, established 150 years ago and so one of the oldest companies in Denmark. Under the Jabra brand, we make headphones, speakerphones, video conferencing cameras and hearing aids. This is a picture of Rufus and me on the beach at Hornbaek on a rare sunny day in the Danish summer.

Three years ago, after years of long hours in consultancy (and too much rain!), we decided to pursue our dream by moving to the south of France with our three young boys. Having purchased the obligatory wine domaine to renovate near Carcassonne, we still work hard, but the wine, cheese and weather have significantly improved! 

France

Leticia is working for a strategic consultancy, and technical advisory services provider, operating in the humanitarian, development, investment, health and education sectors internationally, with a particular focus on emerging markets, as well as fragile and conflict-affected states. Based in Dubai, Leticia has just returned from a project in Somaliland where she completed a final evaluation for Save The Children on water, sanitation, hygiene and child protection in drought-affected communities.

Fahmi is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is involved in construction and running a small business devoted to sustainable farming practices. He has a small niche farm where he grows vegetables and herbs aimed at the 'environmentally aware' customer.

Bangladesh

Sarah lives in Hong Kong with her partner, Ricky, and her two children, Evie and Archie. She trained as a lawyer in London with the Magic Circle firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and transferred to their Hong Kong office in 2016. Sarah represented clients across Asia before becoming in-house counsel at BitMEX, a pioneering crypto derivatives trading company, in 2020. In the same year, she also became a published children's author. Outside of work, Sarah can be found exploring Hong Kong's hiking trails and beaches with her family.

Hong Kong

I am currently living in Darmstadt, Germany and working at the European Space Agency's Operations Centre (ESOC) within the finance team. Due to having started during the Covid pandemic, I have only been on site a handful of times and met a few of my colleagues face to face, earlier this year, I married my partner, we managed a small ceremony with close family and are looking forward to celebrating in the UK next year with more family and friends.

I've been living and working in Malta for the last four years, being a director of a pensions company. Lots of sunshine, fine food, and I have made some good friends during my time here. I come back to the Solihull area quite often and maintain very close friendships with many Old Sils.
