Saint Martin's Old Girls News |
We are delighted to share the news that Louise Cox, past President of SMOGs, has been honoured with the High Sheriff's Award this December. This prestigious accolade recognises Louise’s exceptional contributions to the West Midlands community.
For over 15 years, Louise has dedicated her time and energy to volunteering with Solihull Churches Action on Homelessness (SCAH), a small charity based in Solihull. Founded in the early 1990s and run entirely by volunteers, SCAH works tirelessly to support the homeless and vulnerable across the Borough of Solihull. Louise serves as a Trustee, Charity Secretary, and volunteer shopper – her efforts making a tangible difference to countless lives.
The awards ceremony was held at Holy Trinity Church in Sutton Coldfield, following a heartwarming Multi-Faith Carol Service. Louise was among 25 deserving recipients to be recognized for their incredible contributions to the community.
We are incredibly proud of Louise for her unwavering commitment to service and her exemplary demonstration of compassion and leadership. Her work is a true testament to the values we cherish as a school community.
