On Thursday, 21st November 2024, Saint Martin’s Commemoration Day was celebrated with a service in the grounds of St Alphege Church. The Executive Headmaster welcomed guests, and the ceremony was led by the school chaplain, Rev. Rachel Hill-Brown. Rachael Spiers, the Senior School Deputy Head, read ‘Courtesy,’ while former staff, students, and governors sang the school song and anthem, ‘God Make Me Kind.’
Louise Cox, President of the SMOGs, laid a wreath on the graves of Miss Bull and Miss Tucker, and Paula Loneragan laid a wreath on Miss Bacon’s grave.
After the service, guests enjoyed afternoon tea at the Saint Martin’s campus. Lynn Moseley, Head of Alumni Relations, thanked Louise for her 11 years of service as President of the SMOGs and presented her with a bouquet of flowers. Lynn then introduced Paula Loneragan as the new President.
