Old Silhillians Hockey Club celebrated another successful season over the weekend of 18–19 April, highlighted by the Annual Dinner and Awards on Saturday evening, followed by the Junior awards presentations and the traditional Captains XI vs Presidents XI match on a sunny Sunday morning.

At the Dinner, guests enjoyed an excellent three-course meal. The toast to the Club was delivered in clever and amusing verse by David Higgins, and seasonal reports were given by Steve Tabb (Windsor 1987–1996) for the Juniors, Jim Goldstraw for the Ladies, and Tom Harrison (Jago 1996–2007) for the Men’s section.

President Murray Creed thanked the club’s volunteers before introducing the guests: Solihull School Headmaster Charles Fillingham; Head of Hockey Chris Mayer; School captains Murray Watts (Fetherston 2019–2026) and Scarlett Pugh (Windsor 2017–2026); and OSA President Simon Westwood (Shenstone 1966–1975). He also highlighted the significant contribution of Jason Dalby, welcoming him as an honoured guest following his ten years as Club President.
