We were delighted to welcome Mrs Anna Fok, mother of Tsz Fok, and Lee Aye (Pole 1996-2003), sponsor of the Tsz Fok Memorial Prizes, to this year's Tsz Fok Recital, a special occasion celebrating Tsz's enduring legacy and the opportunities created in his memory through the prizes established in his honour.

This year's recital was performed by Neo Tse (Pole 2024-26), who shared insights from his summer visit to Poland, where he researched the life and music of Frédéric Chopin. Drawing on his experiences, Neo delivered a fascinating presentation before giving a beautiful and accomplished performance that captivated the audience.

The presence of Anna and Lee made the occasion particularly meaningful. Through their continued support and commitment, the Tsz Fok Memorial Prizes remain an important part of School life, inspiring and encouraging talented young musicians to develop their skills and pursue excellence.

Guests were also delighted to welcome Jill Godsall, who taught piano at Solihull School for more than 60 years and inspired generations of musicians through her dedication to music education. Her presence added special significance to the occasion and reflected the strong musical traditions that continue to thrive within the School community.

Neo's eloquent presentation and outstanding musicianship made for a memorable afternoon. The recital served as a fitting tribute to Tsz Fok and highlighted the lasting impact of the memorial prizes established in his honour.

We extend our sincere thanks to Neo for such an engaging and inspiring recital, and to Anna, Lee and Jill for their continued support of music at Solihull School. Through events such as these, Tsz Fok's legacy continues to inspire future generations of Silhillians.
