More than 80 Old Silhillians came together at the Silhillians Sports Club on Thursday 7 May 2026 for another enjoyable Over 60s Lunch.

Guests began the afternoon by reconnecting over welcome drinks before sitting down to an excellent meal, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout. Peter Thomas (School House 1966–1973) formally opened proceedings and introduced Damian Kelly, Chair of Governors; Sean Morgan, Head of the Senior School; Mark Penney, Head of the Preparatory School; and Simon Westwood, President of the OSA.

The lunch also celebrated six newcomers: Keith Benjamin (Windsor 1973–1975), Richard Griffith-Jones (Shenstone 1962–1970), Steve Marks (Jago 1976–1981), Nigel Saunders (Fetherston 1979–1983), David Thompson (Shenstone 1958–1964) and Mark Tonks (Pole 1967–1973), each sharing a brief and entertaining snapshot of life since leaving school.

Earlier in the day, it was a pleasure to welcome a group of Old Silhillians alongside former pupils and staff from Saint Martin’s and Solihull High School for Girls, for a tour of Malvern Hall, providing a memorable opportunity to revisit and celebrate shared history.
