465 Service of Thanksgiving at Coventry Cathedral

Solihull School came together for a special Service of Thanksgiving at Coventry Cathedral to mark the School’s 465th anniversary. The service was led by Reverend Rachel Hill-Brown, and pupils from J1, J3, Third Form, Fourth Form, and the Lower Sixth attended.

At the start of the afternoon, Lower Sixth students Taneesha and Finlay carried an Olympic Torch down the aisle before handing it to members of the Solihull Faiths Forum and the Headmaster.

The event also brought together over 100 guests including alumni, governors, parents, and friends of the School. They enjoyed performances from the School Choir, whose music enhanced the atmosphere and sense of occasion. The service included readings from the Headmaster, pupils, and the Chair of Governors.

Following the service, refreshments were served beneath the cathedral’s stunning Baptistery Window, providing a relaxed moment for guests to talk and reflect on the afternoon.
