The FUTURES Friday Seminar at Solihull School was a tremendous success, thanks to Freddie Truman (Windsor 2011-2022), who is about to begin his legal career at Freshfields as a trainee associate. The seminar was designed for pupils considering studying Law at university or pursuing a career in the legal profession.
Freddie, currently studying Law at Durham, spoke to pupils about becoming a Corporate Solicitor in the UK and explained the concept of the Magic Circle. He shared insights from the perspective of someone at the start of a legal career, covering the basics of becoming a solicitor, the role of Corporate Solicitors, the appeal of Commercial Law, and the application process.
Over 40 pupils attended the seminar, finding it highly informative and engaging, with many asking insightful questions.
