Tom Harrison (Jago 1996 – 2007), captain of the Old Sils 1st XI, was a key player in the Over 35s team. Tom’s team emerged victorious in a thrilling final against South Africa, winning 4-3 in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. Over the course of the tournament, the team played seven games in ten days, with Tom scoring three goals during the pool matches.

In the Over 75s category, Keith Willetts, vice-captain of the Old Sils 6th XI and father of Alex Willetts (Fetherston 1993 - 2004), also secured gold with England. Keith scored two goals in the group stages, contributing to a convincing 3-0 victory over Australia in the final.

The club is immensely proud of both players’ achievements, which highlight their dedication and skill. Their success serves as an inspiration to the Old Silhillians community and the next generation of hockey players.
