We will be hosting a special event to mark the rebranding of the school’s new academic lunchtime lecture series as ‘The Loynton Lectures’. We have chosen to name the lecture programme, which was launched last January, in recognition of John Loynton and his services to the school community. The lecture series is designed to inspire and recognise intellectual and academic curiosity at Solihull, and in his long-standing association with the school as both teacher, and archivist, John absolutely epitomises these scholarly values.
The celebration will take place from 12.45pm in the Kent Library; light refreshments will be available, and John will deliver a 30-minute talk entitled ‘Christmas at Solihull School’.
We would be delighted if you were able to join us for this celebration of the academic life of the school and the role that John has played in exemplifying this.
