Tim Reid (Windsor, 1980 - 1985) is a multiple award winning comedy writer, best known for co-creating and co-writing TV comedies such as the BAFTA winning sitcom, PETER KAY’S CAR SHARE, and his new show, MEET THE RICHARDSONS, starring comedian Jon Richardson.
But as well as being a successful comedy writer, Tim is a world renowned innovation expert, and he's worked for some of the world’s most creative organisations, including global ad agencies, innovation consultancies and the BBC. He's helped clients from beer brands to broadcasters, confectioners to Her Majesty's Courts Services reimagine the future and re-invent their businesses.
Tim will share his take on how we can all up our creativity and have bigger, better ideas by understanding the creative power of laughter. He'll explain why advertising legend, David Ogilvy, was right when he said "the best ideas come as jokes, make your thinking as funny as possible." With stories from his time as an innovation consultant, as well as a few insights from the world of television comedy, Tim will share some top tips for coming up with original ideas.
