The New War Memorial

We Will Remember Them

To mark the centenary of The Old Silhillians’ Association and to celebrate the strong bond that exists between the school and its former pupils, we have decided to replace the old war memorial, now rather worn and weathered, with a new one, accurately listing in full the names of the fallen.  We are grateful to Simon Bright (Windsor 1995 – 2006), many Old Sils and those service men and women who have contributed to this very important initiative.

Please donate here.

‘The War Memorial at school has always been an emotive reminder of past pupils who had very different lives. It therefore feels particularly appropriate during the OSA Centenary to see the delivery of this project - and we are hoping that Old Silhillians will want to support by contributing to the cost of £30,000.’  Barry W Allen, OSA President.

All gifts will be most gratefully received and acknowledged in a memorial book to be kept in the Chapel.

The new memorial will be in place for this year’s Remembrance Service.
